Private Dwelling, North Oxford


Arron Hyatt was commissioned to tender this £2m scheme to extend and modernise a dilapidated property in North Oxford with gardens backing onto the River Cherwell. From our measured Bills of Quantities a very accurate and concise pricing package was assembled enabling tenders to be sought from a number of contractors with far greater accuracy and ability to compare and contrast. To that end the scheme was tendered and four tender prices received within a four week time frame, the spread of prices over an 8% range showing the accuracy and ease of pricing this quantified pricing document.
Following a tender and interview process a contractor was appointed at below the initial budget level, commencing works within four weeks of the tender date. The scheme was project managed through to successful completion, including the introduction of a replacement swimming pool and telescopic retractable pool housing enabling the outdoor pool to become indoor in the winter.
